ARC 1: A DARK DEED – BOOK 1: THE WEIGHT OF LIGHT
In a world where light thirsts and darkness hungers, a single deed can unravel the world. A Dark Deed – Book 1 begins the story of a world balanced on the tip of a guttering flame. A world known to its people as Iscaria, where the powerful hoard riches, the powerless scrape dirt, and an ancient horror stirs in the shadows between.
The gloam has been slowly consuming the world since as long as anyone can remember, but recently it has begun to surge, swallowing entire settlements and thousands of people along the gloamline. For better or for worse, some have learned to harness this mysterious source of corrupting twilight. It has been used in healing, war, and the airships that sail across Iscaria’s skies. But such use doesn’t come without a cost some aren’t willing to pay.
Three fugitives flee across the continent with the Royal Inquisition Bureau hot on their heels. The former seeks redemption. The latter seeks justice. And the distance between both parties unravels as one of the greatest stories never told.
Pull up a stool, and have your fill. Everyone in the world, regardless of circumstance or station, needs a little bit of story in their lives. For say what you will about The King’s Lantern, with its dark corners, grimy furniture, and blood-stained floors. But you can’t say it isn’t bursting at the seams with the most fantastical fables, tallest tales, and even an odd spirited story fit for a king.
